Description
Prestige Bluesville 1036, “Back on My Feet Again” with Furry Lewis, vocals and guitar, from 1962. The vinyl, while basically free of marks, plays at VG++ with slight static and a few pops here and there. The laminated jacket has strong seams all around with no splits; corners are square; jacket back is very clean if not pristine; there is a small piece of the back slick missing at center right (see scan); there are no writing and no stamps. This is one of two Bluesville LPs recorded when Furry was in his 60s and being “rediscovered” by the burgeoning blues community. Songs are “John Henry”, “When My Baby Left Me”, “Shake e’em on Down”, “Big Chief Blues”, “Old Blue”, “I’m Going to Brownsville”, “Back on My Feet Again”, “White Lightnin’”, “Roberta”, and “St. Louis Blues”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
