Description

Original 2LP recording of Beethoven's 'Choral' Symphony sung by Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Hongen, Hans Hopf and Otto Edelmann with the Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler.

This is a very rare recording in exceptional condition.

Label - Number: HMV / ALP 1286 & 1287

Matrix (run-off) numbers: 2XRA 16-2N, 17-2N, 18-2N & 19-3N

Condition - Vinyl: Sides 1, 2, 3 & 4 - Near mint

Condition - sleeves: Near mint (minor lifting of laminate to opening edge). The dark patch on the photograph of the front of the sleeve is my reflection when taking the shot.

All of my records have been cleaned on a Keith Monks machine and resleeved where required. Please view my other auctions for more interesting and rare items.
