Description
Franz Schubert: Symphony No.7, 1st & 2nd Movement.
Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
German mono-pressing with „Alle Rechte“-labels, article-no.: 18015 LPM, date on back-cover12/53, date in dead wax: 26.02.52. Unfortunately only the first part of this famous recording, but nevertheless pretty surely among the earliest copies of the single LP issues, the first editions to my knowledge were sold as double LPs in a fold-out.

Condition Cover: Strong VG+. This has stood the test of time pretty well, unfortunately someone cut off a small portion of the top, probably to get the record out easier. It's not that bad, however, it took me some time to actually realize it myself. Apart from that in nice shape with only a small split on the bottom spine, some discolouring and ring-wear. Nice early laminated & stitched fold-out.

Condition Vinyl: Strong EX. This has been played two or three times, at least according to the spindle-wear. There is some light wiping and some background-crackling, but no deep scratches, no annoying consecutive tics, so that anyone will be hard pressed to find a first pressing of this recording in better shape. The plastic-innersleeves of these old DGGs always do something to the vinyl, but this here has really kept very well for a 60-year old record!
