Description

Greetings everyone!  Thank you very much for stopping by another of my ebay record auctions!  I appreciate that you thought enough of my listing to click on it and have a look around, and I hope that you will enjoy your stay and consider the time spent here worthwhile.  If you are here to do some comparing of prices, gradings, policies and the like, I can appreciate that, and I encourage it as well.  Hey, I don't like over paying, and I imagine you wouldn't either.  If you are here to do some window shopping, that's okay, as you did advance my visitor counter, and I do enjoy the company!  If you are here to place a bid, you have my gratitude in advance for your generosity.  I'm just glad you're here, and I want you to feel as welcome as possible!
This time up, I have a 1981 LP pressing on the Capitol records label, label # 12154 by Future Flight.  This is a self-titled LP, so I hope you won't mind my not repeating this info on the listing header.  Honestly, I did not know a thing about this band when I picked this LP up on my vacation a few weeks ago, but that's actually one of the criteria for my record purchasing.  Since I have worked in a record store for the past 18+ years (all the records I list on ebay are my own though), I have had literally millions of records pass through my hands.  If I am out record-hunting, if I see something I don't recognize-like this-and the price is right, I will absolutely pick it up and make it available for you fine folks.  Well, I did a little homework on checking out this group, and this is one of the groups that would easily fit the "quiet storm" kind of playlist.  When I noticed it was produced by Lamont Dozier, that just sweetened the deal for me. Now, it's time to see if any of you folks may have some interest.  The vinyl is in excellent condition.  No scratches nor scuffs appear.  It might stand a good cleaning though as it is quite static-y.  But when I gave it a spin when I got back to town, it sounded quite nice.  I am giving this my E+ grading, and I feel confident with this grade.  My grading is considered non-standard, so if you are considering placing a bid, please have a look at the paragraph after this one, as my grading descriptions are there, and it won't take long to read.  Please do.  Considering the only other listing I saw for this artist at the time of listing was for a 45 (from this very LP!) and the asking price is over 10 times my opening bid, perhaps there might be a taker!  The drawback to this LP is the cover.  This has a cut out hole at the top right front/left back corner, and there is a 4 inch tear on the front cover, from the opening inward, about 3 inches from the bottom.  Since the cover art is of clouds, this doesn't show up well in pictures, so I hope if you have clicked on this listing that you have read this far.  The more you know, you know!  There are a few other tears as well, from the aforementioned cut out hole to the opening as well.  It also has some ring wear and assorted dings as well.  If you need more pictures or description, I can and will be happy to get them for you.  If you have any questions or comments, please send them along to me, and you will receive a response.

In case anyone's wondering, here is my scale for grading.  M  Mint.  Reserved for still factory sealed.N- Near Mint, opened, no marks whatsoever.  E+, no marks other than a smudge that i'm too lazy to clean.  E, a light mark or 2, probably won't affect play. (why "probably"?  Because everyone claims their hearing is better than the next persons'.) E-, marks or wear that will cause a little audible affectation.  V+, wear that will cause some distortion of some type.  V, V-, P, well, you get the picture.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NON-U.S. BIDDERS!!!!
All items I sell will be sent with a copy of the sale form, printed up from eBay.  I will not "mark item as a gift", just so you can evade import rules.  The people at my post office know me, and they will check overseas packages for inspection.  I hope you will understand my position about this, my apologies if you are not able to comply.

Also, international bidders, the price listed for postage on my listings are for domestic mailing.  I wish I could send overseas for that price, but reality speaks different.  I place a fair price on all international postage.  Watch for the invoice if you win.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All items that are sent to a U.S. address will have delivery confirmation (at my cost) attached, as I have found that it helps...a lot!....to ensure that packages are truly en route to the customer.  This is for both of our sakes.  I will be using USPS "Media Mail" as my primary shipping method, however, if needed, and for an extra charge, I can ship with "Priority Mail", and if i can get away with it for the price, I really like 1st Class, but that's weight-dependent.

Oh yes, if you are the winning bidder, and you are in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I'm afraid you are going to have to fork over the 5% Virginia State Sales Tax.

Paypal is my preferred method of payment, if you need another way, please contact me before bidding.  Or, if you have any other questions about this listing, or any of my listings, please feel free to contact me.  I will answer any & all questions as quickly and concisely as possible.

Also, I do have other listings available as well, and if you would be interested in more than one item, I have no problem with holding onto wins in case you would like to combine wins to save some money instead of multiple p&h costs.

Okay, this makes for my evening's finale, but don't worry, there's plenty more where this came from.  And how!  Mostly thanks to records, I have about 6-8 square feet of actual stand up/walk around space in the collection that I call my living space.  So yeah, there's a LOT more!  But for tonight, I think this will do.  Again, I appreciate that you took the time to click on my listing and have a look thanks again for stopping by!
