G+ Blue Mitchell The Thing To Do Blue Note VAN GELDER P Mono BLP 4178 LP
Cleaned on a VPI HW17.
Vinyl: Visual G+
I will play grade by track to be very specific about this LP
SIDE 1
Track 1 VG- one slight skip light to moderate background noise. Some parts play great.
Track 2 G heavy background noise
Track 3 VG+ sounds great
SIDE 2
Track 1 G with popping and one very light skip in beginning then VG for more than half.
Track 2 VG light background noise in beginning then VG+ for most of the track.
Overall a good listen, but certainly not for audiophiles. I would not sell a record in this condition if it was not so rare and desirable.
Cover: Fair, seams poorly repaired with tape staining on bottom half, spine not split, but worn where text is. Writing and discoloration on back. Brand new rice paper inner, Blue Note inner missing.
