Description

An unusual occurance, with black fiddler Andrew Baxter featured and 
sitting in with a white southern string band.
The Georgia Yellow Hammers do "G Rag" on 78rpm scroll label Victor 
21195.

On the reverse side (less Baxter) they do some nice hillbilly vocal 
harmony "I'm Saved."

The Yellow Hammers were one of the finest string bands of the late 
20's, and normally included fiddles, guitars, and banjo, with splendid 
vocal harmonies. Bud Landress usually spearheaded the group.

Both sides were done in Charlotte North Carolina on August 9, 1927.

The record is in lovely excellent-plus (E+) condition.
