An unusual occurrence, with black fiddler Andrew Baxter featured and sitting in with a white southern string band. The Georgia Yellow Hammers do "G Rag" on scroll label Victor 21195.

On the reverse side (less Baxter) they so some nice hillbilly vocal harmony, doing "I'm Saved." The Yellow Hammers were one of the finest string bands of the late 20's, and usually included fiddles, guitars, and banjo, with splendid vocal harmonies.

Both sides were done in Charlotte North Carolina on August 9, 1927.

The record is in excellent to excellent-minus (E to E-) condition on the G Rag side, and excellent-minus (E-) condition on the reverse. There is a dime-size label tear on the second side.
