G. Wayne Thomas ORIG OZ ST LP EX '73 Surf Folk Rock Morning of the Earth
Original OZ LP released in 1973 on Warm & Geniune Records. Cat: 2907005. Comes in lightly textured gatefold sleeve.
Thomas was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia in 1968 and started writing music for commercials. He signed with Warners, relesead a single in 1971 and started working as a producer. He produced the soundtrack to the surf movie Morning of the Earth, changing what was going to be a Tamam Shud album into a various artists record. It featured Tamam Shud, Terry Hannigan, Brian Cadd, John J. Francis, Peter Howe and three G. Wayne Thomas tracks. The soundtrack was released in 1972 along with a single from the album, "Open Up Your Heart"/"Morning of the Earth".
Tracks : Mandy/ Everything in you/ Open up your heart/ Sweep her off her feet/ I've got to have you/ Call my name/ Come tomorrow morning/ Take it easy/ Losing you (I think in time)/ When you come.
There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some scuff light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Lightly textured gatefold cover has some ring wear and age marks and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
