Some words on this issue: GAA: “Auf Der Bahn Zum Uranus” (ORWASCHL/ Kerston – FK-65014) Long deleted official reissue of this krautrock best that came out over a decade ago. “Gaa (an ancient Greek name for the earth) were a group from Soarland in the South- western part of Germany. On their album they play a nice heavy symphonic space rock was presented, like a cross between Wallenstein & Necromonicon. Like the latte, Gaa were brave enough to use the German language - to great success! There were six tracks in all, giving tune for the progressive developments we all love (don't we?). Best of all was the opening track "Uranus", which twice builds up from silence to a furious, acid-ridden guitar crescendo with cosmic sound effects. Also the closing track "Gaa" was very favorable. Regrettably this released was largely ignored in 1974, causing the band to split. Only about 300 copies were sold and the remaining copies were trashed! Since then the demand for their album has increased. Recommended.” (Cosmic Dreams At Play)
