Rare original electroacoustic / avant-garde masterpiece from chilean-croatian composer Gabriel Brncic.
Some info on the release: Rare original issue, released in Spain sometime in the late 70's on the AMBAR label. Brilliant and hard to find late-70s experimental electronic album from chiliean-croatian composer Gabriel Brncic.
Gabriel Brncic director of the Arts for the Phonos Foundation of Barcelona (whose laboratory was founded by Andres Lewin-Richter and Josep Maria Mestres Quadreny), Associate Professor in the Cabinet of Electroacoustic Music (1989- ), Director of the ‘Music and Computers' seminars at the Menéndez Pelayo University (1991-95) and Director of the Eines courses on Musical Creation at CCCB in Barcelona. He worked since 1960 on the newest musical disciplines related to 21st century technology. He has worked on several compositions at the University of Chile, as well as the Di Tella Institute in Buenos Aries. He continued his work at the Phonos Foundation in Barcelona, the GME in Cuenca, the Experimental Music Group of Bourges, among other labs. His works covers several genres, searching for audiences of all sorts of tastes. In 1996 the Center for Contemporary Culture presented an event in homage to Brncic for his music that connected intimately with its audiences. The concert included works performed with traditional instruments with added electroacoustic effects. His musical experimentations begun with his 1964 musique concrete work Génesis y Máquinas. Brncic got his musical formation at CLAEM (Centro Latinoamericano de Altos Estudios Musicales) where he studied electroacoustic music with Alberto Ginastera, Francisco Kröpfl and Gerardo Gandini. He was deeply influenced by his acquaintance with Iannis Xenakis, John Cage and Luigi Nono.
Condition: Vinyl lies in very good++ condition, looks super clean with only a couple of light marks, but plays with substantial crackle, while cover lies in excellent- shape, with light edge wear around the edges (see picture).
