Thank you for your interest in my auction items.
You are bidding on a MEGA RARE AUSTRALIAN released OZ PROG ROCK 7" 45rpm vinyl record.
"THE LADY WAS A THIEF" b/w "A GIRL OF SEVENTEEN" by GALADRIEL - NOTE THAT THE BAND NAME IS MISSPELT ON THIS RELEASE AS GALADRIOL.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970'S AUSTRALIAN BAND NOT THE SPANISH BAND.
BAND MEMBERS - JOHN SCHOLTENS [VOCAL], GARRY ADAMS [GUITAR, VOCALS], MICK PARKER [BASS GUITAR, FLUTE], DOUG BLIGH [DRUMS], GARY LOTHIAN [GUITAR].
Released in 1971.
Track selection is:-
A-Side. "The Lady Was A Thief" (John Scholtens) 3:25 minutes.
B-Side. "A Girl Of Seventeen" (John Scholtens) 4:00 minutes.
The record was released on Du Monde Records via FESTIVAL Records AUSTRALIA.
Catalogue number DMK-4110 (MX37723/37724).
This record is an extremely rare progressive rock record that did not sell in great quantities and so it is very hard to find nowadays in any condition. I bought this upon release and it has been in my collection for forty years, one of my favourites, but it is time to cull the collection, so hopefully there is another fan out there who will treasure it.
Vinyl record is in VG+ condition, and still sounds great.
Cover is a generic Festival Records black & white paper sleeve.
Labels are in excellent condition, nice and clean, black lettering on an orange background.

RECORD: New condition with no surface marks or loss of sound quality.
LABEL: New condition with no surface marks or wear.
NEAR MINT:
RECORD: Barely noticeable surface mark with no loss of sound quality.
LABEL: Barely noticeable surface mark/ wear.
EXCELLENT:
RECORD: Some signs of being played with extremely little if no loss of sound quality.
LABEL: Slight wear.
VERY GOOD:
RECORD: Obviously been played with noticeable surface marks & the occasional light scratches but exhibits no major loss of sound quality.
LABEL: Noticeable wear. Slight writing/ stains.
