GANDALF S/T LP on CAPITOL ST-121 Stereo USA Original LP 1968 1st issue.

Sleeve: M- looks new - has FREE cut top right - you won't find a better stamped sleeve, however.......

Record: EX Capitol rainbow labels,  no spindle maks and just a few scuffs both sides HOWEVER record is dished - so side 1 plays perfectly SIDE 2 played without any problems on a Pink Triange Anniversary /SME V - however jumped at the beginning of track one on a cheap Numark usb. Bid accordingly - I won't accept returns of it does not play on your turn table.

Moody melodic studio psych classic which most 60s fans dig. Predominantly covers and some seemingly odd choices at that, looking back to 1940s-50s easy listening on things like the opening "Golden earrings" and Eden Ahbez' "Nature boy". The Gandalf guys run these songs through their own sophisticated baroque organ/guitar machinery with compelling results, bringing out a rare reflective mood from this meeting. Still, the band original "Can you travel in the dark alone" is clearly the best cut, and the album is in a sense a victim of its own cleverness, since you can only squeeze so much head action from old crooner hits.
