This is not actually the first Gang Starr album, but is largely classed as being so as this is when DJ Premier began his trademark sound. Contains the epic tracks Just To Get A Rep and Check The Technique. This is a first edition UK press (no different to the US one)

The vinyl itself is in really nice condition, very light marks which can only be seen under bright light, however, as many original releases around this time, it suffers from having too many tracks pressed onto it. In years to come artists would learn to press this many tunes on a better quality double vinyl. As a result, even the most minor of imperfections can be heard. I have a Near Mint copy of this in my collection and a light crackle can still be heard throughout. Please bear that in mind and buy the CD or download if you are expecting perfection!
