Wow ! I'm amazed to be able to offer you this incredible OST ! Impossible to turn up ! It is such a consistent a listen and a totally slept on sample source.
Description : THE mythical score created by Karl Heinz Schäfer for the mysterious Laslo Szabo film. I've never had the chance to see the movie but judging by the dialogue sequences that can be heard throughout the album (check "Utopia") seems to be a political thriller in the vein of G.Orwell's "1984". Music is heavily reminiscent of the now famous A.Goraguer's "La Planète Sauvage" in parts. Somewhere between feline jazz, crazed orchestral pop, opiate jerk and lunar funk, the music turns on its multiple charms, seemingly led by a longing for both violence and calm, the driving force behind the record's dramatic power. Another victory for French soundtracks to oddball sci-fi animated cartoons!
The music is some of the best French soundtrack material you will hear up there with 'Melody Nelson' and 'Le Planete Sauvage' except nobody's sampled this, yet.
Killer jazz-groove with a touch of baroque, drama and menacing strings and effects. For the producers there're tons of material to sample here...especially on the track "Kidnapping" and "Accroc". One of the rarest & most desirable french soundtracks - EVER - Top recommendation!!!! I truly can't stress how rare this piece of wax is or how dope it is.This soundtrack has it all,progressive psychedelic jazz, ill samples with wordless vocals; open basslines and guitars with tremolo effects.
