The Gaslight's legacy is captured in this newly issued three-track 45 which showcases the Detroit harmony group at their peak. 'Hard Times Are Coming, Hard Times Are Here' delivers an unreleased groove that brings urgent soul while a previously unheard mix of 'Just Because Of You' emphasises the quartet's silky harmonies and warm, organic instrumentation. The familiar 'It's Just Like Magic' rounds out the release, demonstrating why the group earned their modest acclaim during the 70s despite poor promotion.
