Gasper Lawal - Ajomase (Cap, UK)

Superb afro album by Nigerian "griot" Gapser Lawal. Two great cuts here : "Kita Kita" jazzy and psychedelic afrobeat and "Awon ojise oluwa" sensual jazzy groove with electric piano and beautiful chant & chorus (one of my favourite afro tunes). Influenced by Fela of course, but with its own sound.
