Up for sale from 1960 Gatemouth Moore "sings Blues" King 684.This record needs no introduction and is the most collectible blues LP in the business.Some have rumored that 10 to 15 pressings exist,and book value for a NM copy is 5,000 to 6,500,however this is FAR LESS then even VG condition.I had purchased this on e bay a few years back and the seller upgraded this and never told me about how it tracked when played,I paid something like 500.00 for it and figured I might have got a deal on it until I played it,and I was not very satisfied with it, because I always down grade my records to make people happy.I have played this Record twice,once when I bought it and just now to grade it for this auction.COVER is in G- to G Cond.with both top and bottom split completely and spine being intact,with 3 peices of masking tape and one that was torn off taking a section of the front cover with it,that can be seen in the pictures,their is no writing and cover is brown from age.RECORD is in POOR to G- Cond.it has been heavily played to the point of worn condition.Side 1 manages to track all the way through on my turntable with hissing and pops.Side 2 however is much worse,it doesn't track through the first 2 songs and throws the tone arm,and continues to get better into the 3rd and 4th songs,then tracks good for the last 4 songs on this side.Anyway if you have any questions e mail me,hopefully I have described this well enough.Please I like to be honest it is not worth more than $300.00 unless for a keep sake.Thanks For Looking And Good Luck.
