VERY HARD TO FIND PRIVATE PRESSING
VINYL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. A BIT OF CRACKLE ON THE QUIETER PARTS - HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED - COVER HAS SOME WEAR
"Gemini is an obscure band from UK, releasing only one album in 1981 named Counter balance. Very hard to find album today in original format, only on e-bay maybe with big money. The album featuring 4 pieces, all instrumental, with blistering keybords and great musicianship. The arrangements are well constructed, in some parts remind me of ELP but more elaborated arrangements. On bass and guitar is the great musician Nick May, will found him later on on Jadis (early years), on The Enid and Karnataka, Nick Wren the composer of the album , of all the arrangements and done aswell all the keybords parts is another skillful musician who is quite unnoticed in prog world. So, a well rounded album with no mistakes here, maybe the only low point is that they are very unknown to larger public, is understandable because the album was release in 1981 when prog was dying and they got today as back then a little attention by prog listners. 3.5 , great album from dark years of prog."
