GEN John J. Pershing--America's Forum 69333--1918
Original 78rpm record, America's Forum [Columbia 69333/77666], General John J. Pershing--From The Battlefields Of France b/w Ambassador James W. Gerard--Loyalty. Recorded 1918. Both sides are spoken word recordings, with Pershing's speech being a mere 37 seconds long [the runout groove on this side is 2 1/2 inches wide!] Runout groove also features an inscribed facsimile of Pershing's signature as well. America's Forum was a Columbia label specializing in patriotic speeches, songs, etc., from the World War I period, with this record being the first in the series. Average minor scuffs and scratches with moderate background noise. Approx. 1 inch long scratch on B side but no chips, cracks or other damage. Nice example of a somewhat hard-to-find label and is in Very Good [VG] condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
78 RECORD SHIPPING PROCEDURE: Record is placed in a heavy duty plastic bag, then protected with three pieces of stiff cardboard on each side, securely taped and double-bubble wrapped.
