Description

GENE AMMONS "Jug" LP . This is a 1st pressing from 1960 on Prestige PRLP-7192 in mono (yellow & black label with Bergenfield, NJ address & RVG in the dead wax) and deep-groove on one side. The players are Gene Ammons (tenor sax), Richard Wyands (piano), Clarence "Sleepy" Anderson (piano & organ), Dough Watkins (bass) & Ray Barretto (conga drum). The tunes are "Ol' Man River", "Easy To Love", "Seed Shack", "Let It Be You", "Exactly Like You", "Miss Lucy", "Namely You", & "Tangerine". This is in BEAUTIFUL condition!! Condition/Cover : The cover is in beautiful NM- condition ('D' stamp on the back). The cover is bright, crisp & flat looking with NO seamsplits, NO writing, NO tears, NO ringwear, NO creases & sharp corners. In the photo below, the spot at the bottom of the cover is from the flash of my camera. This is NOT on the cover. Flash only.
Condition/Vinyl : The vinyl still has all of its gloss & is in VG++ condition with a few very light surface scuffs & some light sleeve spotting.
Condition/Labels : The labels are in NM condition.
