Description

Gene Ammons' classic Blue Gene LP on original 1958 first pressing mono Prestige LP 7146. Original New Jersey labels with RVG stamped in the runoff. The disc has some scuffs and light marks but I had it ultrasound-cleaned and it sounds just great. There is slight  background noise to be heard mostly between tunes, and in the quieter passages, but it is not at all overwhelming or terribly obtrusive at all. Really the sound is quite good and it plays fully enjoyably, loud and clear and so present. The cover has light wear, mainly just small corner rubs and some slight wear on the open edge, but it is minimal and there are no seam splits and barely the faintest hint of ringwear. An unusually good cover. Really a nice playing copy and a beautiful cover.
