Absolutely lovely copy of the original 1967 mono first pressing of Gene Clark’s first solo LP with the Gosdin Brothers, on Columbia CL-2618. Includes his former Byrds bandmates Chris Hillman and Michael Clarke, as well as Leon Russel, Clen Campbell, and future Byrd Clarence White. Produced by the great Gary Usher and the also great Larry Marks. One of the great LA folk rock / early country rock records of all time, and a rare and beautiful copy. The mono of this album is so hard to find, especially in this gorgeous shape. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has light signs of gentle use but not much. A little edge wear at the bottom, mostly only noticeable on the back, and there is some clear tape at the spine, which seems to be repairing a split at the top. The tape is really well applied and is barely noticeable at all, but if you look at the spine the top of it is frayed under the tape. Aside from that this really is a beautiful cover with only very faint ringwear just beginning, and a name written on the back. Mostly really crisp and clean. Truly this is a magnificent original mono copy, very hard indeed to beat.
