Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1947 first pressing of the self-titled Gene Krupa and his Orchestra 4-78rpm album set on Columbia C-138. Original first pressing with the patent numbers on the label. A beautiful example of Joe Flora’s wonderful artwork on the cover. All four discs are very nearly perfectly mint and play flawlessly and just beautifully. There are maybe a couple of very light sleeve scuffs but barely. These discs are incredible. The cover is also quite lovely , with a taped spine. The cover is not detached, as you can see on the inside the binding is still intact, but as is common with these albums the outer spine is tearing a little so someone taped it. The tape can be removed with lighter fluid, if you care to do that. Really it isn’t bad. The spine is still readable with nothing missing. A little corner wear on the boards, too, but really an overall quite nice cover. This is really a top original copy, hard to beat.
