CAT. NO T 811
Format: Mono

An original from Gene Vincent and The Blue Caps, this is the 1st pressing on the Capitol / EMI music label with the XT tax code and very early stampers.
Sleeve: Original sleeve in a Fair condition retaining its structure. Clean with no writing imprints etc. The laminate is still glossy and colourful. The spine is intact apart from a few tiny nicks and has readable text. The opening side is fairly flat, the scallop style flip-back are all intact. This 1st Edition sleeve has a couple tears that have been repaired with cellotape inside the sleeve.
Inner Sleeve: Original EMI early thick card material poly-lined inner ‘Take Good Care Of Your Records’ completely all intact and very clean.
The Vinyl: In Good Plus Condition. The surfaces are smooth and groove wear free, still projecting a bright pressing shine on both sides. Showing play use in terms of lots of superficial surface non-feelable hairlines, and light superficial marks but with smooth clean surfaces, nothing at all feelable, no warps. The item has received fair use but has not lost it’s charm.
Lays completely flat on the turntable, heavyweight Sixties vinyl.
The Labels: Very Good Plus condition. A little visible wear to the spindle perimeter, and no major spindle location lines/ marks, or writing etc.
XT Tax code
Extremely early Mothers/ Stampers combinations, would have been pressed on or around the first day:
Side 1 - 1 P
Side 2 - 1 O
The Audio: Stills sounds Very Good. Plays smoothly from start to finish on each side with crisp detail and deep warm tones. No major interruption or defects over the audio. There is only what you would expect to be noticeable as per condition:- some low level crackle over the audio in places an and the quiet parts, no jumps, skips, pops, or sticks.
