GENE VINCENT: B-I-BICKEY-BI, BO, BO, GO/FIVE DAYS, FIVE DAYS • Capitol 45-CL-14722

This single, Gene Vincent’s 6th, was issued by Capitol in 1957 on both 78 & 45 rpm discs in both USA & UK. This version, catalogue number 45-CL 14722 on purple/silver label, the first UK issue on 7-inch 45rpm, is seldom seen. Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps: Side A – B-I-Bickey-BI, Bo-Bo-Go; Side B – Five Days, Five Days.

The disc has many light scratches/surface marks. Side A has a brief crackle at start and 3 loud ticks towards the end; side B has no audible faults. Overall it’s a great record. Owner’s name in ink on both labels. Capitol sleeve (not the original).
