Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, vintage, promotional issue, LP record album, from 1957, by Gene Vincent and The Blue Caps, on the Capitol record label, #T-811. This is the rare promotional issue. On the front cover is a rare original, promotional sticker that states, "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY Not For Sale". Also, on one label side is a small sticker that states, "PROMOTIONAL RECORD Restricted to Promotional Use Only-Not for Resale". The turquoise/green Capitol labels with silver print are in excellent condition. The vinyl is in very good plus condition with only a few spots of light scratches. The mirror-like vinyl gloss is tremendous. The jacket is in very good minus condition with light, and some moderate, edge, corner, and surface wear, The top edge which has a split a little over half way across from the right edge. The left edge has fraying at the middle. The bottom edge also has some light spots of fraying and light other wear. The back cover side has light age soiling against the white background, more so along the edges. The bottom left hand area on the back side of the cover has moderate soiling. The very good minus rating is based a lot on the front side photo of Gene Vincent and his group which is very nice with bright and vibrant colors. This is a 3-day, no reserve auction.
