GENERATION X "Your Generation / Listen" 7" 1977 Band Self-Released UK GX-101


Released by the band as a "bootleg" in 1977 well before their debut single on Chrysalis. Punk, raw and less slick than the major label versions of the songs. Each single has different hand written text and drawings. I've read elsewhere that only 100 were pressed. 

I picked up a few copies at the Rock On stall in Soho in London in '77. 
Runoff grooves have this matrix number and message: Side A: GX-101-1A1 PRE Side B: GX-101 B1 Beep Beep
VINYL There's scuffs on both sides but I cleaned and played the single and found no pops clicks skips etc on "Your Generation." The end of the fade out on "Listen" has some surface noise but no pops, clicks, etc. elsewhere.  There is surface noise before the song starts on both sides.

Shipping outside is USA is via USPS First Class REGISTERED MAIL. Please note the handling charge of $12.75 is the sum of the additional postage cost of REGISTERED MAIL ($11.75) and the shipment packaging ($1.00) - two cardboard flats, a plastic sleeve and the padded envelope.  eBay's shopping cart does not have an option for the registered mail portion of the postage so it is added in there. Foreign buyers are responsible for all customs duties and taxes.
