I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A LARGE AMOUNT OF AN OLD WAREHOUSE STOCK OF MANY PUNK / KBD / DIY PUNK / MINIMAL SYNTH / INDUSTRIAL / POST PUNK / MESSTHETICS / H2D / HYPED TO DEATH / HOMEWORK / TEENLINE TYPE ITEMS, ALL ARE IN AN UNPLAYED CONDITION !!!! SO KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS !
This is a A RARE AND POSSIBLY A ONE OFF PUNK / KBD ARTIFACT the 1978 UK TEST PRESSING OF THE FIRST ALBUM by the band GENERATION X from 1978, ORIGINAL UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING AND A MUST !!!
I have never seen another TEST PRESSING OF THIS PUNK MASTERPIECE, and this could well be THE ONLY SURVIVING EXAMPLE, and is a must for any PUNK / KBD collector, or any collector of PUNK MEMORABILIA !!!
The album comes with the original BLANK WHITE P/S, and although someone hand written THE BEST OF GENERATION X WHITE LABEL, this is actually a TEST PRESSING / WHITE LABEL of the first album simply entitled GENERATION X from 1978, this can be verified by two things:
First of all the FACTORY STAMPED MATRIX NUMBERS ARE: CHR 1169 A//1 M 1 1 and hand etched A PORKY PRIME CUT, and on the B. side: CHR 1169 B//1 M 1 2 and ANOTHER PORKY PRIME CUT, these are the catalogue numbers of the first GENERATION X 1978 album.
The other verification that this is indeed the 1978 first album is the track listings:
SIDE A. :

3. LISTEN.
4. READY STEADY GO.
5. KLEENEX.
6. PROMISES PROMISES.
SIDE B. :
1. DAY BY DAY.
2. THE INVISIBLE MAN.

5. YOUTH YOUTH YOUTH.
The white labels only have hand written info: GEN X PROMO and GEN X PROMO ONLY.
The album came out on Chrysalis records, catalogue number CHR 1169.
So what you have here is a real ONE OFF PUNK MEMORABILIA ITEM, A 1978 UK TEST PRESSING of the first GENERATION X album, DON'T LET THIS POSSIBLY ONLY CHANCE PASS YOU BY !!!
As if that was not enough the ALBUM was BARLEY PLAYED and the condition of the VINYL is in MINT- condition on side A, SIDE B. IS EX (only because of 1 mark, which can not be felt, or heard on playback), the ORIGINAL WHITE P/S is in EX condition!!! (slight age spots)!!!
DON'T LET THIS RARE PUNK / KBD MEMORABILIA TEST PRESSING album get away as you will never see another and especially not in this condition.
