Abacab / White label Promo - Test Pressing
This rare test pressing is in excellent condition. No Charisma label, just the plain white label on each side.

The audio on Side One is Ex+ (Near Mint in many sections)
The audio on Side Two is Ex (Ex+ in many sections)

The original inner sleeve is Ex+
The labels are Mint
Visual grading
Side One is in near pristine condition and still has an amazing glossy look to it. I could only see a couple of very faint hairlines. Side Two has 2/3 more obvious hairlines but they are still very faint and there are certainly no scratches. The vinyl has only been played once or twice as there is only one barely visible spindle line on each side.
Play grading
Side One plays with excellent audio with only light intermittent static. This definitely decreases after the title track although 'Abacab' itself still plays with great clarity and no other interference. Any static is not intrusive at all and the audio is of a very high standard. 'Me And Sarah Jane' for example plays with Near Mint audio the quality is that good.
'Dodo' on Side Two plays with a little static but again is very much in the background and doesn't affect the quality of the listen. It is slightly more obvious on 'Man On The Corner' as it is such a quiet track. No clicks or pops though and still plays with excellent clarity. There is a little more static on this side and I did hear a couple of clicks near the start of 'Another Record'.
Cover
This test pressing still comes with the embossed/textured 'Abacab' cover and only has minor shelf wear. The edges and spine are in superb shape and the front cover only has a couple of minor marks and very slight ringwear at the top. The back cover is much the same and has the catalogue number CBR 102 in the top right corner. Overall this is a very clean cover.
Picture sleeve
Also included is the original picture sleeve which remains in excellent condition with no splits or tears just some mild creasing.
Labels
The white labels are immaculate with no marking at all.
