HERE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT, UK CHARISMA (CAS 1058) ORIGINAL PRESSING (October 1972) OF GENESIS' CLASSIC, "Foxtrot" LP

THE RECORD HAS THE FIRST ISSUE MATRIX: CAS 1058 A-1U (etched "PORKY") / CAS 1058 B-1U (etched "PECKO") BUT INTERESTINGLY HAS THE LABEL VARIANT WITH A SMALLER HATTER LABEL ON SIDE ONE AND A LARGE HATTER LABEL ON SIDE TWO, BOTH OF WHICH CARRY THE FIRST ISSUE B&C RECORDS CREDIT (personally I have never seen this variant before as small hatter labels always carry the later PHONOGRAM credit)

THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE MATTE, OUTER TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH ALL SPINE TEXT WRITTEN VERTICALLY IN RED "Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford" (w/ B&C printed credit on the inside of the sleeve) WITH INTERNALLY PRINTED LYRICS AND FACTORY SEALED LEFT SIDE EDGE
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL RED CHARISMA INNER SLEEVE

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and only light spindles
VINYL Visual: The record lies perfectly flat on the turntable and both surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are some light sleeve removal hairlines but these have NO major audio consequence. NICE CLEAN RECORD
VINYL Audio: CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY STRONG and VIBRANT. There are NO scratches, NO sticks/jumps, just some occasional light surface noise on some (not all) of the quieter sections - nothing major, and a couple of ticks for the final few seconds of the final track going into the run-off groove. Certainly nothing I found intrusive on play-grading this impressive piece of work. The LP plays to a high standard with NO groove-wear and NO distortion and must be graded EXCELLENT for audio. NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please check my feedback and "about me' page)
SLEEVE: The TEXTURED gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT condition with minimal wear and a nice spine with all the vertical red text SHARP and CLEAR. Very well preserved first issue sleeve
This copy also comes with the RED CHARISMA ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE which unfortunately has splits to one side and bottom edge but is otherwise very sharp and CLEAN. The LP is now housed in a new inner sleeve to avoid any more 'knifing' to the original
