GENESIS: I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)Great copy with a lovely clean sleeve! Record is in excellent condition with light wear to the A-side and just the slightest hint of wear to the B-side! Record retains its original sheen on both sides and the labels are clean with no real evidence of wear to the centre-hole. Looks great! Sleeve is even better! I’ve graded it EX+, though many would say it qualifies as near mint and to be honest, it is pretty much near mint with no edge-wear (just a tiny bit top right), clean opening with no creasing, nice tight edges and only the slightest hint of ring-wear. Easily one of the best copies I have ever seen, I think you’d struggle to find a better one.
NB: I am a private collector and this particular single, and all of the others I have listed, were mine and are now surplus to requirements. Media (record) graded first — visually under LED lighting, followed by the sleeve.
- Media Condition: EX
- Sleeve Condition: EX+
Grading system
I use the standard grading system introduced by Record Collector to determine the condition of the records I am selling, with either a + or – added where necessary to provide a wider selection of grades for greater accuracy.
- Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. - Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. - Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. - Good (G)
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. - Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. - Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. - Bad (B)
The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection-filler.
