GENESIS - Nursery Cryme LP (UK "pink scroll" Charisma, 1971)
Mega-rare UK 1st Pressing (with the earliest A1 / B2 matrixes) - in awesome shape. In the past I had some 10 copies of that title and they were always used - usually with many hairlines caused by the inner. This copy is near pristine - with just very few and slightest marks - with PERFECT audio!
This LP is as rare as most of the rarest Prog-era records! In 1970-1971 nobody wanted Genesis records until Foxtrot LP was released in October 1972 and as a consequence the previous titles were re-released with later, Mad Hatter labels! This is one of the 10 000 copies sold with original label! TOP COPY!
Cover: MINT Very heavy, textured Ernest J. Day cover is just as perfect as it can be - like from the time machine! NO single crease, or wear, or sticker tear, or glue stain etc. etc. All the edges are in perfect shape - no wears at all! The WIDE spine is just perfect - with no single point or dot of wear! The opening edge is razor-sharp! The colours are very deep and rich! The only flaw is 0.5cm (1/4 inch) slightest bump in bottom left corner. My grading is very strict!
Record: NEAR MINT Played maybe 4-5 times. Under the bright light there are maybe 10-12 the slightest hairline visible - I MEAN IT! It's NOT 30 OR 50 hairlines - just 10-12 single lines from 3 or 4 removing from the inner... The best copy imaginable - with perfect audio - even in the quietest moments (like the beginning of The Musical Box or For Absent Friends) and inbetween the tracks! There are maybe 10-12 light clicks on the whole record. Stunning! There is a minimal wear (2mm wide) around the spindle hole on side 2.
You can bid with confidence – check my feedback, please. My grading system is very strict – with very slight difference between M and EX. As a collector too I perfectly know, what does it mean to buy an overgraded record!!!
All my records (including 7-inches) were cleaned on Clearaudio Matrix machine and are ready to listen – without any disturbing noises or crackles caused by dirt.
