All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if successful.
This record is in very good condition. It does have light spindle marks visible on the labels but no pen marks, scuffs, fading or any other serious issues. They are clean, bright and appear in great shape overall. The centre holes are not loose and overall the iconic pink scroll labels are in great shape with just the light spindle marks to report.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or that can be felt but do have a few nasty looking scratches that when viewed dont look great. The first and worst of these is on side 1 and goes across 4/5 of one side towards the centre(pics). It is clearly noticable but luckily isnt deep and cant be felt. There is a tiny spot or blemish just before this scratch which is raised and can be felt but this scratch is light and is not a 'feeler'. Other than this side 1 has a couple more minor short light lines showing but nothing as sinister looking as this mark. Side 2 has 3 maybe 4 light scratches which although not as sinister as the one on side 1 can again be seen. These are again light and cannot be felt. So overall the record has nothing deep and doesnt show loads of light surface lines but has these stand out light scratches as mentioned. Despite the is still has a lovely lustre and is far from a disaster. I have graded as VG due to the visual aspect of the marks. See below for report on the audio.
I play tested the record and overall it played very well indeed with no major issues such as skips, sticks or disruptive clicks. It lays flat, there is little to no movement in the record arm and overall the audio is very enjoyable as I say. There is no real issue with surface noise and overall the majority of the audio is clear, crisp and defined with just some minor interference between some tracks and in the run in/out. There is also little to no distortion evident and the audio quality was very good indeed. I did however note the following. Firstly some very light surface noise in the quieter intro of track 1. This is minor however and the rest of side 1 plays great, but for 3 light pops around two thirds of the way through track 2. Side 2 starts with 2 clicks or pops around 2 seconds into track 1 and there is also a hint of minor surface noise audible in the intro. Other than these 2 minor sounds at the very beginning side 2 plays through great with again just a minor amount of surface noise and the very occasional splutter. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable play test with no major issues such as skips, sticks or disrupteive clicks. The nasty looking marks mentioned above have little to no affect and if you can live with the visual side of these then the album is great otherwise.
The gatefold sleeve which is textured on both the inside and outside is in excellent condition. It has some rubbing/wear to the edges and corners but they are all strong with no splits or weak areas anywhere. Other than the edge wear there are no tears, scuffs, pen marks or any other serious issues to report. There is little to no creasing evident and barely any ring marks. The only thing to mention is some very slight age related grubbines throughout. This is most noticable inside the gatefold on the lighter coloured areas but really is pretty minor and not at a level to look tatty or scruffy. Overall an iconic sleeve, which is the correct first press fully textured variety, and has no major issues to report. I have tried my best to describe the sleeve as honestly as possible but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible.
It contains its original poly-lined inner in very good- condition with light creasing, discolouring and 3.5" split to one edge. I will therefore send the record in a brand new plain white replacement to ensure no further damage occurs to the original.
Also included is its one sided lyrics insert which is in excellent condition. This has no tears, pen marks or major issues to report. It has some very slight minor creasing but nothing serious as I say.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a clean plastic outer and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
I hope my photos are comprehensive enough but if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me. Also please check my Ebay feedback for a positive history of record grading, A1 communication and quick delivery times.
