Description
BEAUTIFUL VINYL on the ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING MFSL copy of Genesis' album "A Trick Of The Tail" from 1976. LIMITED HALF SPEED MASTER ON 180g vinyl. Great album, their first to be released after Peter Gabriel left to go solo, the first to present the band with vocals by drummer Phil Collins. They succeeded with this new line up more than anyone could have hoped. While not his vocals on a Genesis song ("For Absent Friends" off "Nursery Cryme" was first, followed later by "More Fool Me" on "Selling England By The Pound"), Collins really surpassed expectations, though he wrote no songs on this LP other than collaborating with the other members for the LP's closer "Squonk", this album is full of stories and wonderful soundscapes to take you on another fine Genesis trip. This was the line up where I discovered Genesis as a 16 year old with the St Louis area KSHE hit title track, along with its incredible follow up, "Wind and Wuthering". The vinyl here is just superb, easily Excellent. The gatefold cover is clean all around, with a very legible spine, NO splitting, and only very minor corner bumping. It is wrapped in the original clear sleeve, and comes with the 4 page MFSL advert. You are unlikely to here ANY album with better sound than an MFSL Master Recording, and this one is from the original Japan plant before it moved to the US, now located in Sebastipol California. Please see all photos before bidding or buying, and be sure to check out our store full of great LPs that I've collected for years, now selling to fund a brick and mortar store. If you've never shopped with us before, please see our feedback (you guys and gals are AWESOME, thank you!) to see that you can shop here with confidence. Thanks for stopping by :) Thanks for looking in our store. We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. So, we're opening up a record store where it will be easier for me to stay active with my issues, and all proceeds from sales of our (mostly rare / scarce) vinyl goes towards making our store a reality (building records racks now, and our CD racks are full!). I post here as often as I can, please message if you're looking for something in particular. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL TO US! This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours. To all our regulars, its good to be back and we look forward to hearing from you. If you ever see wrong information in our listings, let us know, we love the trivia and always strive to be accurate. Thanks for looking, and good luck on your search for amazing music. Greg and Michelle Mitchell
