This first pressing is part of a superb Genesis collection I purchased recently and to say they have been well looked after is an understatement! They all play with stunning quality and the covers are in lovely condition also.
This double album is practically 'as new' across all four sides. There is just one very light click on S4 but that is the only intrusion. The clarity, depth and power of the audio is incredible and as per the other Genesis records I am selling this is another that has clearly hardly been played. I cannot overstate just how stunning the audio is!
The cover is in superb condition with only minimal wear and the lyric inners are in great condition also. One is perfect and the other just has a couple of minor creases by the thumb notch.

Visual description
The vinyls are in great condition and still have a superb glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can see a small number of very faint hairlines and a couple of small radial lines on S4 but they have no effect on the superb audio. There is also a little fading / kind of a hairline section on the run in grooves of each side but this is only a minor issue - it is faint and again the audio playback is still perfect. The run outs are super clean and only the S1 label has one tiny faint spindle trace.
Play Grading
The metronome intro on 'No Son Of Mine' plays perfectly and Collins' opening vocal section is just as strong and clear. His drum sound really comes crashing in! The following chorus plays with sublime clarity and depth and it continues in the same way... sonically this track is superb and much better than I remember to be honest. I just haven't listened to it on vinyl for a long time. The sound is so clear and powerful and there is no distortion on the top end. The powerful end section is stunning and the fade out has no background. This is easily a Mint start to the album.
'Jesus he Knows Me' is 'as new' from start to finish with no background. Stunning clarity and definition once more. A great parody song and I can just picture the video now! Mint
The quiet intro on 'Driving The Last Spike' is so clean with not even a dust tick and the opening vocal section also plays with perfect clarity. As the volume increases there is no drop in quality to perfection. Every instrumental bridge is flawless and the higher octane vocal section plays with great quality also. Perhaps just a hint of that 'final track' syndrome where the sound is not quite as clear but it is so so minimal and hardly worth a mention, I'm just too honest for my own good! It still plays exceptionally well and there is no interference at all. Mint- is a genuine and honest appraisal of the audio.

'I Can't Dance' plays with impeccable quality through every section and 'Never A Time' is of the same exact standard. There is literally no background (even the fade outs play with perfect clarity) and both grade as Mint
The intro on 'Dreaming While You Sleep' is faultless and the first vocal is equal to that. It's relatively quiet during this opening section and yet there is no background whatsoever. The following chorus is so strong and deep and it continues to play to the highest standard standard possible. Put simply this first record is 'as new' with zero intrusion. Mint

Having played every second of S2 I can safely say that 'Tell Me Why', 'Living Forever' and 'Hold On My Heart' all play with outstanding clarity and depth. They have that clean, clinical CD like aesthetic quality but with the depth and warmth you only find on vinyl... as I sometimes say. The final track is of course very quiet so for there to be no background really does pay testament to how well the previous owner looked after this record...well all of them. They all grade as Mint obviously.

'Way Of The World' again plays with a clarity that belies its near 35 years of age. It is Mint from start to finish.
'Since I Lost You' is so close to that with just one very light click during around the halfway mark. Aside form that it plays perfectly. Near Mint
The gentle intro on 'Fading Lights' has no intrusion and the opening vocal section is crystal clear also. All of it! The instrumental then plays with immense power and definition and there is not one single negative. 'As new' sums it up. The closing vocal plays without fault and this 10 minute track is Mint without doubt.
The Cover & Lyric Inner
The cover is in great condition with only very minimal wear. The wide edges and wide spine are more or less perfect and the corners have barely any wear either. The opening edge is again so close to perfect with only a couple of barely noticeable 'crimps' and the front cover is stunning with just one tiny corner crease top right. The back cover just has a couple of minor faint marks near the top edge and a couple of small edge creases next to the spine but is otherwise in superb shape. A fine example overall.
The first lyric inner has no marking etc and the second is close to 'as new' with only a minor crease either side of the thumb notch.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
