Description
TITLE: First Impressions
ARTIST: Genetic Control
LABEL / YEAR: Generic Records No 1 / 1984
REMARKS: THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ISSUE OF THIS RARE PUNK SINGLE. GIVEN ITS APPARENT VALUE I HAVE PUT A RESERVE ON THIS ITEM. variety of punk, KBD singles this week. Please see my other auctions for more.
CONDITION: VINYL= VG++, light paper scuffs, light fingerprints, plays excellently
SLEEVE = 7/10. some minor creasing around edges, more so on top edge; half-inch straight tear at back at top that is not very noticeable; inch x 1/4 inch piece of paper appended near top left corner, some dry tape residue in same area. I would call these flaws minor, and really not very noticeable. Please see scans.
LABEL = 5/10, felt marks on text side (though black on black and so not glaringly evident) and felt marks on face side, as well as an appended piece of paper about the size of a thumbprint that has been appended and which blends in.
GRADING: Records and covers are graded to Goldmine Standards to the best of my ability. I do a very quick play grade for each record but do not listen to the item straight through. I simply try to listen for noise in the quiet spots and where flaws appear visible. I check for any warps that affect play.
SHIPPING CONDITIONS: Buyer pays for the exact shipping charges. Sometime after auction close I will give you the cost of surface mail or air mail for your item – you choose. Insurance or tracking number are available but do add to the cost of shipping – ask beforehand. Please note that any items lost in the mail are not my responsibility, so a tracking number is recommended for expensive items.
SHIPPING COSTS: The price often depends on whether the item is over or under 500 grams – a single packaged LP record hovers right around that weight, and so the final cost is difficult to predict until the item is ready to be sent (and they are not ready to be sent until after auctions end, sorry). These are the current Canada Post rates in CANADIAN DOLLARS (prices will be slightly cheaper in US funds):

PACKAGING: Please be assured that I package all records extremely well in stiff cardboard – you will NEVER get a record sent to you in a flimsy envelope or silly bubble wrap. If a record looks like it needs protection from possible seam splits, I will mail the disc outside the sleeve. I collect records also, so all items are sent the way I would want to receive them.
