From 1974, comes Genevieve Waite with her LP Romance Is On The Rise on Paramour PRS508. Extremely rare and heavily sought-after album by ex-wife of John Philips (Mamas & Papas fame). It is an interesting album, full of breathy songs with musical backing by David Spinozza, John Tropea,John Philips,Russell George, Andy Muson, Ken Asher, Rick Marotta. Of course, John Philips wrote all the songs on the LP,and helped mix them. The album features a front cover photo of Genevieve Waite by Richard Avedon. She is wearing short shorts and platform heels. The liner notes on the rear cover talk about how she played the title role in the movie Joanna and has fun with friends John Philips, Mick Jagger, and Andy Warhol! John Philips and Genevieve had a daughter together named Bijou Philips and Andy Warhol was her godfather. Extremely rare!! This is only the second copy I've had in 29 plus years! It is an absolute must for a variety of reasons!
