GENTLE GIANT In A Glass House WWA 002. 1973.  1st Pressing with Giants Face Inner Sleeve and the “Glassine” Outer Sleeve. 
 
This is a stunningly clean copy this fantastic LP. The front and rear of the outer sleeve are super clean - one of the very best condition examples of this sleeve that I’ve seen.  The LP is also in fantastic condition and plays really well. Stunning.    
 
Detailed Grading: -
 
Outer Sleeve: EX to EX+
 
The single outer sleeve is graded EX to EX+ condition.  The front and rear covers are in superb condition.  The delicate and soft black textured sleeve hasn’t rubbed at all on the front and only very slightly on the rear in one small area towards the spine.  This LP has been well looked after, and the bottom and top edges display just very slight signs of wear.  The spine does  display some rubbing (see photo) is really the reason why the cover isn’t graded NM, as it has rubbed away the black surface in a couple of places on the spine.  Despite this relatively isolated damage, the cover is one of the very best examples of this LP out there.  99% of copies of this record have ring wear visible on the front and rubbing of the black textured sleeve, but this copy has somehow escaped this fate!   Finally, The white card inner with the silhouettes of the band on is also present and in excellent condition. 
 
Vinyl: Near Mint
 
The Vinyl is stunning Near Mint condition. Very deep black gloss shine on this copy and when held up to strong halogen light only 1 or 2 incredibly feint hairlines can just be seen, this is in really stunning condition.  Playback is superb, clear and dynamic, a beautiful copy and would definitely represent a final upgrade for this LP.  Totally superb.

The Labels are in Near Mint condition – very clean and undamaged.   
 
Inner Sleeve:  EX+
 
The lyric inner sleeve (with Giant’s face) is in EX+ condition, and is close to being near mint.  There is the slightest amount of minor rippling, although no creases or writing and the seams are unsplit.  A really nice example.
 
There is also a second inner, sleeve which is generic and is of the correct period, perhaps used by the original owner in order to preserve the lyric inner sleeve, which would be in keeping with how well this LP has been looked after generally.  This is in VG+ condition. It has browned with age, but is otherwise undamaged.
 
Overall this would represent a final upgrade for any collector.  A truly superb copy.
 
 
 
 
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
