A truly excellent plus condition copy of this 1972 UK 1st press prog gem with brilliant sound quality throughout

Increasingly rare and sought after 1972 UK 1st press prog gem with excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl -  gleaming, jet black sheen and earliest 1Y/1, 2Y/1 dead wax matrix pressing with just a few  extremely faint paper scuffs - each purely superficial and only identifiable with close inspection under a bright light. Clearly this is a record that has been sparingly played.  Crisp, clean excellent plus (EX+) condition labels with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails in evidence on each.  The non-laminated gatefold sleeve remains in beautiful, excellent (EX) condition with firm unscuffed edges (apart from a single 1cm light scuff in the middle of the top reverse side edge), near perfectly defined right angled corners with barely any rubbing at all, and no creasing, unwanted writing, or colour fading apart from where there is some very mild ring wear on the reverse side (see photo). There is a light 1.5cm mark adjacent perpendicular to the top edge towards the top right corner on the front side but apart from this and the aforementioned mild ring wear I am struggling to find any other blemishes. The interior of the gatefold is near perfect and all colours, art work and text remain crisp, clean, and superbly defined still. Very impressive!  The quality of the stereo audio is superb with no clicks, interference or background crackle - simply great tone and crystal clear instrumentation and vocals throughout with every track a great listen. Comes complete with original near perfect condition poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve with no side splits, tears, edge fraying or creasing and just some very mild age discolouration towards front and reverse side top edges..

Arguably Gentle Giant's finest LP (debatable, I know) and very hard to get hold of UK 1st pressings in such brilliant condition as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
