GENTLE GIANT ‘OCTOPUS’ 1972 STEREO LP.
Released on Vertigo 6360 080 [Swirl label]

Play grades as EX/EX-.
Side 2 track 1 has a couple of very short ‘jumps’ about half way through. These aren’t that noticeable but seem to be connected to a few small ‘spot’ marks.
Unlaminated gatefold sleeve grades as VG+.
Plain white inner EX.
I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.
(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

5. I ALWAYS OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF POSTING AS PROOF THAT AN ITEM HAS BEEN POSTED ( UK CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ONLY COVERS YOU FOR UP TO £39 FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE) . THIS MEANS THAT I CAN HELP YOU TRY TO OBTAIN A FULL/PART REFUND.
6. IF FOR ANY REASON YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH AN ITEM PLEASE MAKE CONTACT WITHIN 3 DAYS OF RECEIPT AND I'LL DO MY BEST TO SORT OUT ANY PROBLEMS AND IF AN ITEM IS FOUND TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT FROM IT'S DESCRIPTION THEN I WILL REFUND YOU IN FULL.
