GENTLE GIANT " THREE FRIENDS " ALBUM (RARE)
Released in 1972 on the "'VERTIGO " LABEL 6360 070
Condition: EXCELLENT / NEAR MINT
I bought this Album the week it was released from my local record shop.
It was played on a high quality record deck (Thorens 125 turntable SME
arm with Shure V15 cartridge.) The record was always cleaned with a high
quality cleaner and stored in an anti-static inner sleeve. The outer cover
is stored in a plastic sleeve for protection.

THE COVER
The COVER is in an EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition. The GATE-
FOLD is in a SEMI SHEEN finish. The FRONT and BACK COVERS are
VERY CLEAN and free from any defects, except for just a few very light
creases which are hardly noticeable, just on the tops. The INSIDE of the
GATEFOLD is just like NEW, it is SUPERB. The FOUR CORNERS are
all FIRM AND TRUE except for the top left hand corner which has a slight
pinch and a very small scuff mark. The SPINE is TRUE and SQUARE
with VERY CLEAR writing. The SLEEVE OPENING is VERY STRAIGHT
and free from any fraying. For an Album cover of 37 years old it is the
most BEAUTIFUL condition. These Albums on the VERTIGO LABEL are
very collectable now.
THE INNER SLEEVE
The INNER SLEEVE with the VERTIGO design is the original sleeve which
is in NEAR MINT condition, there are no signs of any wear, it looks like NEW.
THE VINYL
The VINYL is in a NEAR MINT condition. It is in a VERY SHINY MIRROR
finish. It is VERY CLEAN and free from any surface marks. The LABELS
look like NEW and are free from any SPINDLE marks. Playing this Album
for the first time in 35 years on my REGA PLANAR 3 turntable, it really
sounded SUPERB.I was so impressed with the SOUND QUALITY, as there
is very little surface noise, CRISP CLEAN audio. On side 2. track 1. on the
intro only there are some extremely light pops and crackles. This play is
only the fourth or fifth time this Album has been played. It is getting harder
to find this Album now in such a SUPERB condition.
