GENTLE GIANT - THE MISSING PIECE
A barely played and wonderful condition copy of this increasingly rare 1977 UK 1st press prog gem

Gleaming, jet black sheen, and truly excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl (many would grade as "near mint", I am sure) with the only mark being a single 3cm extremely faint scuff line on side 1, only really visible under close inspection when the vinyl is tilted to an angle in a bright light. Similarly, each label is near perfect with the only blemish being just a single very faint spindle line adjacent to the centre hole on the side 2 label, again supporting the view that this record has been barely played. Excellent (EX) condition and eminently presentable non-laminated outer sleeve with all of the colours, art work, photos and text remaining beautifully intact. The only blemishes (each very minor) are some very light intermittent edge scuffing on each of the top and bottom edges (trivial), a light 3cm abrasion line on the front side towards the bottom edge (see photo), and x2 1cm very light surface creases adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on the front side. There is no opening edge fraying, no age discolouration, all edges remain firm with all spine text perfectly legible, and each corner remains a well defined right angle with absolutely minimal rubbing. Superb, near perfect STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. This record plays as well as it did on the first day it was purchased, an unbelievable 46 years ago! Great tone with crystal clear vocals and instrumentation and every track a great listen. Hard to fault sound quality! Comes with original and great condition plain white inner sleeve, with correct horizontal "PATENT..." and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" text and no seam splits or obvious creasing, just the hint of some very mild age discolouration towards two of the edges.
Increasingly sought after and hard to find UK 1st pressing, especially in condition as truly impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
