GENTLE GIANT - self titled
Original 1970 UK 1st press of this Gentle Giant eponymous LP - a true prog gem!

Jet black sheen, and solid very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl with the only marks being just a few small and very, very light scuff marks and wispy hairlines on each side, only really visible under close inspection when the vinyl is tilted to an angle in a bright light. Each label is excellent with the only marks being a few small and extremely faint spindle lines adjacent to the centre hole on each label. A very good plus (VG+) condition and highly presentable non-laminated Howards Printers outer gatefold sleeve with all of the colours, art work, photos and text remaining nicely intact. All edges remain firm, including the spine which is excellent overall with just a couple of tiny "nicks" and some light scuffing towards the top and bottom corners, and each corner remains a well defined right angle with a little mild rubbing on each. The only blemishes (each minor) are some very light intermittent edge scuffing on each of the top and bottom edges (a little more pronounced next to the opening side corner on each of the bottom front and top back edge), a 3mm tear in the middle of the front side opening edge, just a couple of sporadic small and very light handling/storage marks, and the hint of some very mild vertical yellowing/age discolouration either side of the interior spine. Excellent (EX) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, obvious clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. There is just the hint of some extremely mild background crackle, along with a couple of very, very light clicks, at the very beginning of each side but certainly nothing of any significance, with great tone, crystal clear vocals and instrumentation and every track a great listen. Comes with original and very good plus condition original poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve, correctly dated, no seam splits, barely any age discolouration, and some mild creasing in three of the corners.
A very nice copy of this 1970 UK 1st press prog gem with the excellent sound quality being a real highlight.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
