Description

Up for auction is a very rare copy of George Braith's free jazz masterpiece "Musart" released on Prestige Records (7515) in 1967.  This is an original mono pressing still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap.  Mega rare in this state.
Shrink wrap in still in great shape with only a tiny opening in the lower left corner of the front cover.  Corners are sharp and un-bumped.  There seems to be some minor spotting underneath the shrink wrap in the upper right corner (see photo).  Looks like it may clean off once the shrink wrap is opened.  Factory punch hole in upper right.  Back cover is clean, bone white, as it should be.  A little bit of dust under the shrink in lower left corner (looks cleanable).  Cover is Near Mint Minus (NM-)/Excellent Plus Plus (EX++).  Vinyl is sealed, pristine.  Let's call it Near Mint Plus (NM+), my highest grade.
Some reviewers consider this album to be Braith's greatest achievement, even superior to the work he did on the Blue Note label.  I agree.  Beautiful, atmospheric free jazz.  Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to acquire a sealed copy of this gem.  Sorry, as is standard in the record collecting world, I cannot accept returns on sealed albums once the buyer has opened them, but it's highly unlikely that there would ever be a problem.  These early jazz pressings were made under much higher standards than records are today.
