GEORGE BRAITH “Soul Stream” Blue Note RVG, BST 84161 Stereo Vinyl

This is “Van Gelder" stamped pressing of GEORGE BRAITH’s “Soul Stream” on the"Division of Liberty” labels of Blue Note BST 84161. Musicians include George Braith - tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, stritch, Billy Gardner – organ, Grant Green – guitar, Hugh Walker - drums.

VINYL plays with very light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with light pops and ticks. But ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong with clean transients, and full tone. Plays beautifully overall. No distortion. Nice gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “Division of Liberty” labels are clean, minor spindle wear. See photos.

COVER is in good shape. Wear and stains visible. Corners worn. Top seam half split, spine split in two spots, lower seam more cracking than splits. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” Back jacket largely clean. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
