Description
Up for auction, a great original copy of the extended twelve-inch version of George Faith’s “To Be a Lover,” released in 1977 on Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Black Art label. The A-side has the extended version of the George Faith track, the B-side has a dub version by The Upsetter Lee Perry, “Rastaman shuffle.” Both tracks are around 10 minutes long. There is no catalog number, but the B-side has “LEE PERRY B CHL” etched into the run-out groove (A-side run-out groove is blank). The vinyl is in strong vg+ condition, very clean with just a couple of light marks here and there, some of which are probably manufacturing defects. The labels have both been written on with magic marker and with ballpoint pen. Plays very clean with an isolated tic here and there. The original screen printed “Upsetters Disco Bum” 12” sleeve is in vg+ condition, has some wear to corners and light rub wear, but overall looks fantastic.
I’m currently selling some other reggae records, most of them in brand-new condition… check my other listings, combined shipping is available for buyers of multiple items.
In the United States, shipping is $4.00 for media mail with delivery confirmation; add .50 for each additional record. International buyers are welcome—shipping to Canada is $15 for the first album, $3 for each additional record; for the rest of world, shipping is $20 for the first record ($25 for double albums), $5 for each additional record (these prices apply to purchases of six records or less—if package exceeds 4 pounds in weight, buyer will pay actual shipping cost). All pictures are of the item currently up for sale. I do not use the "EX" grade. You should contact me if you are unable to submit payment within 3 days of auction close.
