GEORGE SMITH & THE CHICAGO BLUES BAND LP BLUES WITH A FEELING - A TRIBUTE TO LITTLE WALTER (World Pacific Records WPS21887) Released 1969.
This album features Muddy Waters, Otis Spann & Luther Johnson. Little Sonny on bass, S.P. Leary on drums. Still in the original shrink wrap. Most of these songs were written by Walter Jacobs, who I assume was Little Walter. Some cuts written by Willie Dixon or James Cotton ("West Helena Woman") or Willie (Big Bill) Broonzy. Mr. Smith sings & plays harmonica, except on "Juke" which is a very high quality blues instrumental. Still comes with the printed inner sleeve with Liberty/World Pacific logo & pics of other great Blue Note & WP releases, such as Ravi Shankar & Donald Byrd. Original US stereo release. Shrink wrap is smooth & free of crinkles with no fraying or tears. Produced by Pete Welding & Steve LaVere. Recorded in Los Angeles in 1968. Great condition inside & out. (Matrix number: "WPS 21887-1RE" ).
