This is the rare complete UK 1st Press of ‘All Things Must Pass’ by George Harrison. This is a genuine complete press, the earliest presses are only complete if they have the orange insert stiffener. This earliest press is complete with the original green, purple and grey printed inner sleeves, the large 1st press no border poster, the one piece box with heavy spine and gold lettering. It is also worth noting that the 1st press box is also deeper than the later issues.
The records are in stunning Near Mint condition. The vinyl is absolutely sensational, every track gleams, they have only been played a couple of times at most. There are a couple of the the very slightest wispy marks, but the vinyl really is absolutely superb. The labels are fabulous, extremely clean and bright with no spindle wear.
The sound quality is also sensational. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant, fabulous clarity and separation, a joy from start to finish.
The records are complete with the original custom inner sleeves. These sleeves are in Excellent condition. There is the very slightest edge wear in places but they are solid, bright and exceptionally clean.
The poster is is completely clean and very bright with no edge wear.
The box is in Very Good+ condition. The top is still completely attached to the base and the edges are very firm. The front image has light discolouration but it is still bright. There is a little wear to the edges but they are still solid. The inside is sensational, bright and clean and it contains the RARE 1st press only orange stiffener. The back of the box has a light scuff near the top edge otherwise the black is bold. The spine has very slight wear however it is complete with no splits or tears. The whole box is firm and completely intact.
