GEORGE MARGLOUF Assyrian 7" (Royal Records, IRAN 1970s -- ORIGINAL PRESS)
Up for sale today is another rare ASSYRIAN single from Iran, featuring an artist I'm told is named George Marglouf (I don't speak or read Assyrian, but that's what Assyrian friends told me when I showed them the label). It's quite good stuff -- one upbeat, folky track and another ballad, both sung in the Assyrian language. No major condition issues, either, which is rare with old Assyrian records, particularly those pressed in the region which have generally seen better days. I'd grade this 7" VG+ easily, as there are only very slight pops here and there, and even those could probably be improved with a good cleaning. Here's a sound clip:

Very cool stuff, and as with all ethnic Assyrian records, very, VERY rare. Also in common with most Assyrian records, this 7" unfortunately does not come with a sleeve. It will be shipped in a plain white inner sleeve.
