George Russell and his Orchestra featuring Bill Evans - "Jazz In The Space Age" Decca Records DL 9219 (Mono). Hard To Find 1960 Avant / Modern Jazz featuring the piano of Bill Evans plus Paul Bley, Ernie Royal, Al Kiger, Frank Rehak, Dave Baker, Jimmy Buffington, Don Lamond, Milt Hinton, Barry Galbraith, Bob Brookmeyer, Charlie Persip and more.

In nice conditon. The cover shows some very slight ring and edge wear but would probably rate VG++ or Near Mint if not for the lower right corner being creased a bit. I would think it should still rate at least a strong VG+. The vinyl itself is also nice! There are a few light scuffs if you look close but in super clean condition and should rate at least VG++ and maybe better. No cutouts or promo markings. Deep Groove Maroon Red Decca label with Silver print.

P.S. The marks that you may see in the upper right corner of the cover on the scan are artifacts from the scanner, not actual marks on the cover - it is clean other than any mentioned flaws.

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:

Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.

Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over nine years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
